Quick answer

Open DOORS and choose The Archives from the current lobby subfloor selection. The update promotes direct access; older reports about reaching it from a Hotel run are inconsistent, so use the lobby route for a clean Archives attempt.

Route checklist

  1. Launch the official DOORS experience by LSPLASH.
  2. Open the lobby floor or subfloor selection.
  3. Choose The Archives and join the dedicated run.
  4. Use the first rooms to learn the office cues before spending Gold on skips.

Use the current lobby route

The Archives released on August 28, 2026 as a complete rework of the old Rooms concept. The official game page now leads with “PLAY THE ARCHIVES NOW,” and current players can start the subfloor from the lobby rather than building every attempt around a full Hotel setup.

If you are joining friends, make sure everyone selects the same subfloor before the elevator closes. The Archives is a long A-to-Z run, so treat the lobby as the point where your group agrees on badge, Journal, or completion goals.

What about the Hotel Door 60 route?

Players have reported an in-run connection near the familiar Hotel Rooms route, but launch-day accounts disagree about the exact current interaction. That makes it a poor default for a first attempt. Use direct lobby access unless you are specifically testing the legacy connection.

The Stairwell is a different secret subfloor. Its current entrance is associated with The Mines around Door 152 and requires a Skeleton Key; it is not the normal entrance to The Archives.

Prepare for the first sector

The run is organized into 26 lettered sections, A through Z, with 50 rooms in each section. End-of-section elevators create natural planning points. Learn the early entity cues, preserve Gold, and use recovery resources before you attempt aggressive skips.

  • Play with sound on: Bash and several other threats are easier to read by audio.
  • Keep Gold flexible instead of spending every pickup immediately.
  • Use water coolers and food when recovery is available.
  • Set a clear target—one sector, a badge, a Journal entry, or a full push.

Questions players ask

Is The Archives a separate Roblox game?

No. It is a subfloor inside the official DOORS experience by LSPLASH.

Do I need a Skeleton Key for The Archives?

Not for the normal Archives lobby route. The Skeleton Key is used for the Door 152 route into The Stairwell.

Did The Archives replace The Rooms?

Current official and community documentation describes The Archives as the overhaul and replacement of The Rooms.
