Quick answer

The Paper Plane is a throwable Archives pickup. Current sources do not establish a necessary puzzle, badge, or dependable Drone counter for it. Throw it for optional interactions, but keep a safe route and do not wait for it to clear a blocked door.

Do not depend on it to clear a Drone from an exit; reports of Drone movement are inconsistent.

Item checklist

  1. Pick up the Paper Plane only if the inventory slot is free.
  2. Move to a safe side position before testing a throw.
  3. Aim at open space or an optional target rather than relying on the item during an active entity cue.
  4. If a Drone moves after contact, treat that as a local interaction, not a guaranteed counter.
  5. Drop the plane when a key, recovery item, Waiting Ticket, or CD-1 needs the slot.

What is supported now

Current item coverage identifies the Paper Plane as throwable. Players use it for experimentation and report small physical reactions, but the community does not agree on a repeatable route-critical purpose.

Does it move Drones?

Some players have seen a Drone slide after being hit, while others report no useful effect. That is not dependable enough to solve a Drone blocking an exit or protect a stampede route. Wait, reposition, or use cover based on the Drone cue instead.

Inventory priority

A Paper Plane is optional. The long Archives run regularly asks for food, recovery, tickets, keys, and special-route items. Keep it only when the spare slot costs nothing important.

Questions players ask

Is the Paper Plane required for a badge?

No current source establishes a Paper Plane badge route.

Can it clear a Drone from a door?

Reports are inconsistent. Do not treat a small physics reaction as a dependable exit-clearing counter.

Should I carry it through the whole run?

Only if the slot is spare. Route keys, recovery, the Waiting Ticket, and CD-1 have clearer value.
